Expanded Metal Mesh

Overview

Expanded metal is formed by slitting and stretching a solid sheet, which creates razor-sharp strand edges and a huge amount of exposed surface per kilogram. Those edges are exactly where corrosion attacks first — which is why expanding first and galvanizing second matters: the zinc seals every strand and every diamond corner.

We supply diamond and square patterns from light architectural grades to heavy industrial mesh, cut to sheet size or fabricated into framed panels. After galvanizing, panels can be powder-coated for a duplex finish that survives the harshest coastal and industrial environments.

Galvanizing Process Notes

Expanded mesh carries more surface area per kg than almost any other product we dip, so pricing is based on surface area as much as weight — that is normal for mesh. We rack sheets vertically with spacer bars so strands never stick together, and every diamond stays open and fully coated.
